How to Take Inspired Action

By T Ryan

Inspired action is one of the reasons apparent miracles occur. It is the reason people do things that other people and even themselves did not think were possible. It is responsible for some of the greatest breakthroughs in history. Whether the people taking the inspired action at the time new what they were doing or not, they would not have achieved there goals if they had not taken inspired action.

So, how can we go about deliberately taking inspired action. Well I would first like to take a look at ourselves to understand how and why inspired action works.

Firstly, many people generally accept that we are made up of three parts: mind, body, spirit or however else you prefer to term it. Now the way I like to see it is that we are here in our physical bodies on the ground doing things. Our spirit part is a part of the overall energy of the universe connecting all things flowing freely and the mind part is the connector between the two.

Now here is how to take inspired action: first you must make your intentions clear. Write out what you want to achieve, meditate on it, tell people what you intend and visualise it regularly, doing this gradually transfers the intention upstairs to the spiritual part of ourselves.

Now remember, that part of ourselves is part of the ether, it is free flowing energy, moving all around us and can see all things. It can see things around us and ahead of us that from the ground we cannot possibly see. Once it is clear on our intentions it can take a look around and see how to bring our desires into being in the fastest possible way. It knows the fastest way to do so and the way it chooses may not make any sense to us in our physical bodies because we cannot see all that it can see. Do not worry about this.

Messages and prompts will then be sent down to us and they could be very subtle. They could come in the form of words in a poem, words in a song that seem to stand out, a chance conversation, a strange coincidence but come they will and you have to be ready for them.

When you get these intuitive messages it is your job to follow up on them even if they don’t make any sense at the time, remember you can not see the way, but if you trust what you feel and go with it, that is when remarkable things can happen, intuition is your short cut!

The strength and ease of connection between your mind, body and spirit is the key to all of this. The stronger the lines of communication the better it will work. To improve these internal lines of communication you simply need to spend more quiet time. This can be praying, meditating, relaxing, anything where you take time out. These things will aid you in gaining clarity on the intuitive nudges that you will receive and in relaying your clear intentions.

What Are the New Thought Concepts?

By M. Daniel Walsh

Article recommended by Schlarbaum Capital Management

Social movements are very organic things, they just sort of happen as people come together with a variety of shared beliefs. We call these shared beliefs a paradigm. Paradigms are fairly loose things, often defying concrete definitions. Most of the time, as in the New Thought Movement, the movement is sparked by an assortment of characters expounding and exposing distinct yet similar beliefs (paradigms) usually with commonly held elements.

For clarity’s sake; every movement is bound to have an assortment of leaders within it teaching similar, yet distinct version of the same thing. The common elements held by all of these teachers make up the paradigm itself. These common elements when taken together make up the paradigm of the movement, regardless of the core concepts themselves.

The reason this is important to understand is that the New Thought Movement has gotten really big all over the world in the last 150 years. In fact it’s gotten so big and has so many well recognized leaders each offering their own versions of the same thing that it’s become pretty difficult to separate the forest from the trees and pin any sort of definition on it at all. If you ask ten people what New Thought is, you’ll get ten different answers.

The Common Elements

What if we really did ask ten different people what the core New Thought Concepts are? Each of them gives a unique answer, but are there elements common to the them all?

The New Thought Movement, like most other social movements has a tendency to both congeal, and defy congealment. Here’s what I mean, organizations like INTA (International New Thought Alliance), AGNT (Association for Global New Thought), and ANTN (Affiliated New Thought Network) have all emerged and sought to become the central body of the movement.

Each of these organizations seeks to present a common, unified face of the movement to the global community. However, like those ten people who each offers us a different definition, the same thing happens across these massive international organizations. Three central groups, three different Declarations of Principles.

This is all very natural and happens in any movement of sufficient size. The problem is that with so many groups attempting to define the same thing in different ways, there’s a tendency for the static to become overwhelming. So instead of looking at what makes them different, let’s look at what they all hold in common, we’ll call these common elements, “The Core Concepts of the New Thought Movement.”

* Core Concept One: Universal Spirituality and Divine Goodness The first core common across all new thought belief systems is the notion that there is a omni-present divine force of goodness pervasive though all things and people. In nearly all New Thought Schools of the Thought, the concept of a divine force which is ‘pervasive’ and ‘inherently good’ are cornerstone concepts.
* Core Concept Two: The ability to align with this divine force The second core concept is that we, as humans have the innate ability to harmonize and align with this divine force of goodness. Fairly universal within the New Thought Movement is the idea that: Health, Prosperity, and Love are all possible through aligning and harmonizing with this divine force. Extremist’s within the Movement hold that any sort of healing (including cancer and AIDS) can be accomplished with this alignment, and fantastic riches, beauty, and accomplishment are also possible through this alignment.

Loved As You Are - 5 Benefits of Giving Up the Past Because You Are Loved

By Dr. Robert Henry Schwenk

Article selected by Mark Schlarbaum

The Ultimate Source loves you just as you are. (Some will name this Ultimate Source as God.) You see, nothing you have done or not done, said or not said, thought or not thought, keeps The Ultimate Source from loving you just as you are. That means, simply, that you are accepted just as you are in this moment. Nothing from the past needs to haunt you. The past has no grip on you. The past has no power to poison the present moment. The only power the past has over you is the amends you may need to make for that which you did in the past. But this is normal. The Universe runs on the idea of karma. Which means that which you sow, that shall you reap. But making amends is not the same as being controlled by your past. The past only has the meaning you give. And if you give it only the meaning of making amends where amends need to be made, then the past has no power over you.

So, what are the five benefits of giving up the past?

1. You are free to make decisions based on this moment alone. If the past does not control you, which it does not, then you are free in this moment to decide.

2. You are free to reinvent yourself in this moment. The past need not define who you are in this moment. So, if you need to be a new you right now, be so.

3. Because you are free to make decisions or to reinvent yourself in this moment, you can dream as big as you wish. Nothing from the past is holding back your dreams.

4. Because you are liberated from the past and because you are free to reformulate yourself in this moment, there is nothing you cannot plan for. When you can conceive it and believe it, you can achieve. (W. Clement Stone) Your past does not hold you back.

5. Because you carry no prejudicial love or hate from the past, you are free, in this moment, to be a true human being to another human being. You can meet whomever you please with no pre-conceived ideas of how they or you “should be.”

Just think of the release from tension and anxiety you can find within yourself when realize you are loved just as you are. Because you are loved just as you are, The Ultimate Source has no preconceived ideas of how you should be either. You are free to be.

5 Great Ideas For a Family Activity Holiday

By Kieron Sellens

If you’re looking to do something different with the kids when you next go on holiday, have you thought about horse riding in America? How about cycling beside the Danube? Or dog sledding in Lapland? If you want an experience that your children will really remember on holiday, then a family activity holiday may be just the thing for you.

Many parents may be put off by health and safety concerns for these kinds of adventure holiday, but they shouldn’t be. Almost all standard activity holidays will have some kind of child friendly option, and there are plenty of niche operators that specifically offer family activity holidays. If you are worried about safety, it is always a good idea to check out any adventure holiday company that you decide to go with, to make sure it is reputable and provides a good service. Read any online reviews that you can find, and call them up and see how they respond to your concerns.

If you start to look around for a family activity holiday, you’ll be spoilt for choice: here are five ideas to get you started.

Cycling in Europe

Cycling abroad can be a safe and fun family activity holiday, and it is very easy to organise. Make sure you check the difficulty level of any cycling trip before you go, and be sure to let your travel operator know that you’ll be bringing children with you. Sweating your way up a steep mountain pass with an exhausted child in tow is no one’s idea of a fun holiday!

But as long as you pick a route that all the family will be comfortable with, you can have a brilliant time. The Loire Valley and the route along the Danube are two of Europe’s most established cycling routes, and they are also suitable for children on a family activity holiday, being on flat and gently hilly terrain and taking in astonishing views along the way.

Safari in Africa

There’s little that gets kids more excited than wild animals, and an African safari makes for a great family activity holiday. Safaris can include hippo spotting on boat trips, 4×4 drives through nature reserves, visits to farms, animal sanctuaries and orphanages, and many other activities.

The safari business is very well established, and you’ll find plenty of companies that can provide packages specifically for family activity holidays. Kenya is the most common destination, though safari holidays are run in many other African countries as well, such as South Africa and Tanzania.

Riding & Ranch Stay in America

For a real cowboy experience, there’s nothing like a ride and ranch holiday - learning to ride, spending time with the animals and learning some basic cowboy skills are all things that appeal to kids and their parents! Many tour operators accept absolute beginners, though it may be worth getting your children (and yourself!) a little experience in the saddle before you travel abroad.

Make sure you choose the right kind of ranch experience for your family activity holiday. Working ranch holidays (including cattle drives) aren’t suitable for young children, as they require long hours in the saddle and a fair amount of riding experience. Centre based riding holidays, where you stay in a single location with daily riding activities, can accommodate all ages, and some progressive riding holidays (where you move from ranch to ranch over a number of days) are suitable for slightly older children.

Dog Sledding in Lapland

If cutting through the snow with your kids on a husky driven sledge sounds like your idea of heaven, this might be the activity holiday for you! For children, the combination of snow, animals and adventure can be irresistible. The scenery in Lapland is remarkable, and there’s even a chance that you’ll catch a glimpse of the famous Northern Lights when you visit.

Dog sledding can be done as a one day excursion or, if you and your children are feeling adventurous, can be part of a multi-day expedition, stopping off at various lodges and cabins along the way. This is a family activity holiday for slightly older children - check with travel companies to find out the exact minimum age for their trips.

Sailing through the Greek Islands

Sailing can make for a superb family activity holiday, and the Greek Islands are an ideal destination - not only is the scenery beautiful, the steady waters make it a very safe place to sail and swim. Children and adults can learn the basics of sailing, swim in the Mediterranean, visit harbour towns and bask in the sun. No previous knowledge of sailing or yachting is necessary in most cases, with full tuition and assistance available.

Most family sailing holidays will be based on a flotilla, which are medium sized yachts with sails and engines. Flotillas are a very family friendly way to sail, and have become hugely popular in recent years. There are plenty of tour operators that offer flotilla holidays in Greece, and if you have very young children they can provide extra safety precautions, such as safety netting along the guardrails, to help keep your kids safe.
